Safe checks, in order
Start with the simplest non-invasive check. Stop as soon as the error clears; repeated resets can hide a condition without correcting it.
Open both water valves
Confirm that the hot and cold faucets are fully open. Some cycles use both supplies even when Cold is selected.
Inspect the fill hoses
Look for tight bends, crushing, or reversed connections. Straighten the hoses without pulling on the fittings.
Check the drain hose
Make sure it is not kinked and is inserted into the standpipe according to your model's installation instructions.
Restart once
Disconnect power for one minute, restore power, and try a short cycle.
Check inlet screens
Shut off the water first. Disconnect the hoses and carefully inspect the small screens at the washer inlets for sediment.
Know where to stop
Turn off both water valves and unplug the washer before disconnecting a hose. Stop if a fitting leaks or you see damaged wiring.
