Printer Offline: Connection Checklist

Separate a computer queue problem from a Wi-Fi, USB, or printer power problem.

Confirm the printer is awake and error-free, then check that the computer is using the correct printer and connection. Avoid reinstalling everything before checking the queue and network.

Read the printer display

Resolve paper, ink, cover, or firmware warnings first.

Confirm the connection

Check USB seating or verify the printer and computer are on the intended Wi-Fi.

Check the print queue

Remove a stuck job and make sure Use Printer Offline is not selected.

Restart in order

Restart the printer, then the computer or router only if necessary.
